Server joined to new domain and cardbox has stopped working.

After changing our database server to the new domain I'm getting the following message:
Cannot connect to server.
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. (ECONNREFUSED: 10061)
The server name is unchanged as are the share names.
Permissions arecurrently allowing Full Control to the database users.
What is the best way to resolve this issue.
This doesn't sound like a licence error. I've had a similar problem before, in which case a firewall was to blame. I'd say: have a look at your firewall(s) and see if they allow Cardbox to run on port 3105.
