Sending emails (Professional Edition only)

Cardbox now has two commands that let you send emails directly without needing an email program. File > Send As Email sends a record or a selection of records to one recipient, whose details you enter. Tools > Bulk Email sends one email for each record: either the same email for everyone or a customised email for each recipient.

For more information, enter any of the commands we've mentioned and press F1 for detailed help.

This new feature is part of Build 4233 of Cardbox, which can be downloaded from http://www.cardbox.com/downloading/updates.htm.

"Getting Started" tutorial guide

We have written a 30-page colour introduction to Cardbox that takes you step by step on a tour through its features. If a new person joins your organisation and needs to use Cardbox, it's the perfect way of getting up to speed. It's even worth going through it yourself because it might teach you a new thing or two.

Use the command Help > Getting Started to open the "Getting Started" guide. It's a document in Adobe Acrobat format which you can read on the screen or print out. You'll need the free Acrobat Reader: if you haven't already got this, Cardbox will tell you how to download it from Adobe's web site.

This new feature is part of Build 4233 of Cardbox, which can be downloaded from http://www.cardbox.com/downloading/updates.htm. If you're planning to follow the tour yourself, you'll also want to download the new and revised sample databases from http://www.cardbox.com/downloading/other/samples.htm.

Free trial version

The best way to fall in love with Cardbox is to try it. We're now offering a free trial licence, lasting a month, to help this process along. If you have any friends or colleagues who ought to be using Cardbox but haven't tried it yet, now is the time for them to have a go. Just give them this link:
